Just in case you want to make your own pile of Greek flags..(who wouldn't?)
here's the pattern!

"F" hook
worsted weight yarn (or whatever you want to use) can be as big or small as you want!
****** This pattern has been written by a left-hander and the pattern works in that direction.

~~~~~start with blue:
ch 13
- in 2nd chain from hook, sc. 1 sc in next 8 stitches. in 8th blue sc (9blue sc total), join white. sc in next st and join blue. sc in each of next 2. ch1; turn (12sc)
- sc in same. sc in next sc and join white. w/white, sc in one; join blue. sc in next 2 st. join white. sc in each of next 7 st; join blue; (acts as ch1) turn. (12 sc)
- sc in same. sc in next 7 st; joi n white. sc in next 5 st. join blue. (acts as ch1) turn. (12sc)
- sc in same. 1 Sc in next and join white. 1 sc in next. join blue. sc in each of next 2 st. join white. 1 sc in next 7 st. join blue (acts as ch1) turn. (12sc)
- sc in same. sc in each of next 9 st and join white. 1 white sc. join blue. sc in each of next 2 st. join white. turn . (12sc)
- sc in same. 1 sc in each of next 11 sc. join blue; turn. (12sc)
- sc in same. 1 sc in each of next 11 sc. join white. ; turn. (12sc)
- sc in same. 1 sc in each of next 11 sc. join blue.; turn. (12sc)
- sc in same. 1 sc in each of next 1 sc. fasten off. (12sc)
****** leave a long tail if you wish to sew it on to something. :)

Hi can this be altered to make a blanket or shawl for friend in greek an is it easy im beginner level 2 NVR done a blanket before?
